Ο Άγιος Παυσίλυπος ο Μάρτυρας

Ο   Άγιος  Μάρτυς  Παυσίλυπος  ή  Παυσολύπιος,    έζησε    κατά    τους    χρόνους  του   παράνομου    και    ασεβούς    βασιλέως    Αδριανού    (117 – 138 μ.Χ.).  Γεννήθηκε  στη   Ρώμη  και  καταγόταν  από  ευγενή  και  πλούσια  οικογένεια.  Όταν  έγινε  γνωστό   ότι    πιστεύει    στον    Χριστό    και    διδάσκει  το  Όνομά  Του,  συνελήφθη  και  οδηγήθηκε στον  βασιλέα.  Και  αφού  παρουσιάσθηκε  σε  αυτόν,  ερωτήθηκε    άν    ομολογεί    Αυτόν  ως  Θεό.   Ο  Άγιος  με  παρρησία  κήρυξε  Αυτόν   ως  αληθινό  Θεό    και   δημιουργό    του  παντός.  
Για    τον    λόγο  αυτό  παραδόθηκε    στον    Έπαρχο    της    Ευρώπης,    ο    οποίος    έδωσε   εντολή    να    τον    ραβδίσουν    τριακόσιες    φορές   χωρίς  έλεος.    Ο    Μάρτυς    ανέχθηκε    το   βασανιστήριο    και    αρνήθηκε  να  θυσιάσει    στα    είδωλα.  Επειδή    δεν    υπάκουσε,   δέθηκε    και    οδηγήθηκε  προς    αποκεφαλισμό.  Στον    δρόμο    όμως,   αφού    έσπασε    τα  δεσμά,  ξέφυγε  από  τους   στρατιώτες    και    έτσι    λυτρώθηκε    από     τον    μαρτυρικό θάνατο.  Έτσι,  ο  Άγιος,  αφού  σώθηκε,  στάθηκε  σε  κάποιο  τόπο  και προσευχήθηκε    στον    Θεό.  Εκεί  παρέδωσε  την  μαρτυρική  ψυχή  του  με  αγάπη    στον   Κύριο,  απολαμβάνοντας  στέφανο  αμάραντο  και  ζωή  αθάνατη.

The Holy Passover is the Witness

Saint Martyrs Pasysylipos or Pashalipios lived in the times of the illegitimate and wicked king Hadrian (117 - 138 AD). He was born in Rome and was born of a noble and wealthy family. When he became known to believe in Christ and teach His Name, he was arrested and led to the King. And having been presented to him, he was asked whether he confesses Him as God. The Saint boldly proclaimed Him as a true God and creator of all.

For this reason he was handed over to the Chief of Europe, who ordered him to strike him three hundred times without mercy. Marty tolerated torture and refused to sacrifice to idols. Because he did not obey, he was tied up and led to beheaded. On the way, however, after breaking the shackles, he escaped from the soldiers and was thus redeemed by the martyrdom of death. So the saint, after he was saved, stood in a place and prayed to God. There he delivered his martyrdom with love to the Lord, enjoying amaranth in a crown and life immortal.
