Οι Άγιοι Ρουφίνος και Ακυλίνη οι Μάρτυρες και οι συν αυτοίς διακόσιοι Μάρτυρες

Ο   Άγιος   Μάρτυς   Ρουφίνος,   ο   διάκονος   και   η   Αγία   Μάρτυς   Ακυλίνα μαρτύρησαν    μαζί   με  άλλους   διακόσιους  Χριστιανούς  στη    Σινώπη  κατά τους    χρόνους    του    αυτοκράτορα   Δεκίου   (249 – 251    μ.Χ.).

Όντας  εκείνο  τον  καιρό   ο   Άγιος  Ρουφίνος   διάκονος    της    Εκκλησίας    του Χριστού, δίδασκε  πολλούς  στο Όνομα  του  Χριστού.  Γι’ αυτό    συνελήφθη και  κλείσθηκε στη φυλακή. Η Χριστιανή  Ακυλίνα, επειδή  τον επισκέφθηκε, συνελήφθη  και  η  ίδια. Και  οι  δύο,  αφού   παρουσιάσθηκαν στον  άρχοντα,  ομολόγησαν  την πίστη τους στον Χριστό και βασανίσθηκαν σκληρά.  Όμως,  με  τη Χάρη του    Θεού    θαυματούργησαν και  προετοίμασαν   τους   παρευρισκόμενους   διακόσιους   στρατιώτες   να πιστέψουν  στον Χριστό.  Ο  άρχοντας  οργισμένος διέταξε  να  θανατωθούν  όλοι  με   μαχαίρι.  Και    αφού   τους    έδεσαν   οι   δήμιοι,   τους οδήγησαν  στον τόπο  της  αθλήσεως  και  τους  αποκεφάλισαν  όλους.  Έτσι    οι   Άγιοι    αυτοί   Μάρτυρες   έλαβαν   από   τον   δωρεοδότη  Κύριο   το στέφανο   της   δόξας   και   του   μαρτυρίου.      
Σύμφωνα   με   τον   Λαυριωτικό   Κώδικα   οι  Άγιοι   παρακολούθησαν   το μαρτύριο    του    Αγίου   Χριστοφόρου.

But with the grace of God, they worshiped and prepared the two hundred soldiers present to believe in Christ. The lord, angry, ordered all to be killed by a knife. And after the executioners tied them, they led them to the place of the sport and they all defeated them. So these Saints Witnesses received from the donor Lord the crown of glory and martyrdom.

According to the Lavrovic Code, the Saints attended the martyrdom of St. Christopher.
