Ο Όσιος Θεόδωρος ο Τριχινάς

Ο  Όσιος   Θεόδωρος   καταγόταν  από    το    Βυζάντιο  και  γεννήθηκε  από   πλούσιους  και  ευσεβείς  γονείς.  Από  νεαρή  ηλικία  ακολούθησε   το   μοναχικό    βίο   γενόμενος   μοναχός  στη  μονή   που  γι’ αυτόν  εκαλείτο   μονή   του   Τριχινά.   Ο   Όσιος   Θεόδωρος   υπέβαλε   τον   εαυτό   του   σε   κάθε κακουχία και σκληραγωγία. Το σώμά   του   το κάλυπτε   με   λεπτό   τρίχινο   ιμάτιο,  γι’ αυτό  και  επονομάσθηκε Τριχινάς. Με τους σκληρούς ασκητικούς του  αγώνες  ο  Όσιος απεκάλυπτε   και    εξουδετέρωνε   τις   απάτες   των   δαιμόνων.           
Ο  Όσιος   Θεόδωρος   κοιμήθηκε  με  ειρήνη  και  έλαβε   τη   Χάρη   από  τον   Θεό,  ο  τάφος   του   να   αναβλύζει   μύρο   που   ευωδίαζε.   Έτσι, όσοι   προσέτρεχαν    εκεί   με   πίστη    και    ευλάβεια,   λάμβαναν    την  υγεία   της   ψυχής    και  του    σώματος.
