Μνήμη Ε’ Οικουμενικής Συνόδου

Σήμερα   εορτάζουμε την   μνήμη  των  αγίων   165   Πατέρων,   που  αποτέλεσαν   την    Ε’    Οικουμενική    Σύνοδο.

Κατά   την   εποχή   του   αυτοκράτορα   Ιουστινιανού   Α’   του   Μεγάλου, Πατριάρχης   Κωνσταντινουπόλεως    ήταν   ο   Άνθιμος    ο   Α’,   ο    οποίος    ήταν   αιρετικός   και    συγκεκριμένα   μονοφυσίτης.   Γι’ αυτόν τον   λόγο,   εκθρονίστηκε    από    τους    ορθοδόξους   και    από   τον   τότε   πάπα  της    Ρώμης   Αγαπητό    και    στη    θέση    του  χειροτονήθηκε    ο    αγιότατος    Μηνάς.

Με αφορμή όμως το γεγονός της απομακρύνσεως του αιρετικού  Πατριάρχη   Ανθίμου   ξεσηκώθηκαν   ο   Σέβηρος    και   ο   Πέτρος,   οι  οποίοι  βρίσκονταν  κάτω από αιρετική κυριαρχία  και   συνιστούσαν μάλιστα   και   τα   βλάσφημα   δόγματα    του     Ωριγένη.

Γι' αυτόν τον λόγο ο  Ιουστινιανός, συγκάλεσε το 553   μ.Χ.  στην Κωνσταντινούπολη,  την   Ε’   Οικουμενική   Σύνοδο,    στην    οποία  πήραν  μέρος 165 Άγιοι Πατέρες, μαζί με τον Πατριάρχη Μηνά.
Η   σύνοδος   αυτή   αναθεμάτισε   τους   μονοφυσίτες    Σέβηρο   και   Πέτρο    και    τις    κακοδοξίες    του    Ωριγένη.

Θείου   Πνεύματος,  τη    επιπνοία,    θείος    όμιλος,   σεπτών   Πατέρων,  εν    τη   Πέμπτη   Συνόδω  καθείλετε,    αιρετικών    τα    οθνεία  διδάγματα,   και   Ορθοδόξοις   το   κράτος   δεδώκατε·   αλλ’   αιτήσασθε, Τριάδα    την    Υπερούσιον,    δωρήσασθε    ημίν    το    μέγα    έλεος.

Κοντάκιον.   Ήχος    δ’.    Ο    υψωθείς    εν    τω    Σταυρώ.         
Τους    εν    τη    πόλει    τη    λαμπρά    Κωνσταντίνου,   την Πέμπτην   Σύνοδον  εν Πνεύματι  θείω,  θεοειδείς Πατέρας  συγκροτήσαντας,  ύμνοις   ευφημήσωμεν,    Ορθοδόξων  οι  δήμοι,  προς  αυτούς    κραυγάζοντες·  από   πάσης  ανάγκης,  την  Εκκλησίαν    ρύσασθε  Χριστού,  υμών πρεσβείαις,   Πατέρες   θεόληπτοι.

Χαίρετε    Πατέρες   θεοειδείς,    της    Πέμπτης    Συνόδου,    οι    φωστήρες  και   συνεργοί·    χαίρετε  προστάται,  Χριστού    της    Εκκλησίας,    και  των   αιρετιζόντων,    ήττα    και    όλεθρος.

Memory of the Ecumenical Synod

Today we celebrate the memory of the saints 165 Fathers, who formed the Ecumenical Synod.

At the time of Emperor Justinian I of the Great, the Patriarch of Constantinople was Anthimos the First, who was heretic and specifically monophysite. For this reason, he was dethroned by the Orthodox and the then Pope of Rome Dear and in his place was the ordained Minas.

However, due to the fact that the heretic patriarch Anthimos was removed, Cebbi and Petros, who were under the hegeic sovereignty, were also emerging, and even recommended the blasphemous doctrines of Origen.

For this reason Justinian, conceived in 553 AD. in Istanbul, the 5th Ecumenical Council, in which 165 Holy Fathers took part, together with Patriarch Minas.

This session set off the monophysites Sebiro and Petros and Origen's cacophies.
