Οι Άγιοι Εννέα Μάρτυρες της Κολά εν Γεωργία

Το  μαρτύριο  των  εννέα  παιδομαρτύρων  έγινε   τον   6^ο   αιώνα   μ.Χ.   στη   Γεωργία.

Σε ένα μεγάλο χωριό  της νοτιοδυτικής Γεωργίας, στην πεδιάδα Κολά, όπου βρίσκονται οι πηγές του ποταμού Κύρου, ζούσαν ελάχιστοι Χριστιανοί. Οι περισσότεροι κάτοικοι ήταν ακόμη ειδωλολάτρες. Τα παιδιά  των   Χριστιανών έπαιζαν με τα παιδιά των ειδωλολατρών και   μόλις ο ιερεύς κτυπούσε την καμπάνα για τον Εσπερινό, άφηναν το παιχνίδι  και   έτρεχαν   στην    Εκκλησία. Τα ακολουθούσαν  όμως πάντοτε εννέα  από  τα παιδιά  των  ειδωλολατρών: ο Γουαράμ, ο Μπακάρ, ο Βάτσε, ο Μπατζίμι, ο Τάτσι, ο  Τζουανσέρι, ο  Ραμάζι  και  ο Παρσμάν. Μα σαν έφθασαν στην πύλη του ναού, οι Χριστιανοί  δεν ἐπέτρεπαν    σε   αυτά    να  εισέλθουν  στο   ναό.   Αυτό   έγινε αρκετές  φορές.   Τα    παιδιά  επέμεναν και  αποφάσισαν να  βαπτισθούν Χριστιανοί.

Ο     ιερεύς    του    χωριού,  ένας   σεβάσμιος  και  άγιος   λευΐτης,   τα  κατήχησε   και    τα   δίδαξε   τις   ευαγγελικές   εντολές.   Δεν    τολμούσε όμως   να   τα   βαπτίσει   την   ημέρα,   διότι   φοβόταν   τους ειδωλολάτρες.   Μία  νύχτα,  λοιπόν,  τα   πήρε   μαζί  του   και   τα οδήγησε   στον  ποταμό.   Πολλοί  Χριστιανοί  τον ακολούθησαν. Την εποχή   εκείνη   το   ποτάμι   ήταν  παγωμένο.  Μα  μόλις  τα  παιδιά  μπήκαν  μέσα, για  να  βαπτισθούν, το νερό, με τη δύναμη του  Θεού, έγινε  ζεστό.  Το   εξαίσιο    αυτό  θαύμα  το  ακολούθησε ένα άλλο θαυμαστό   γεγονός: Άγγελοι από τον ουρανό κατέβηκαν  και    ένδυσαν  τα  παιδιά    με  λευκούς   χιτώνες.

Την  επόμενη  ημέρα  οι  ειδωλολάτρες  γονείς   αναζήτησαν   τα   παιδιά τους. Τα  βρήκαν  στα  σπίτια   των   Χριστιανών    και   πληροφορήθηκαν τι είχε  συμβεί. Έγιναν  έξαλλοι  και  οργίσθηκαν. Άρχισαν  να  τα   κτυπούν   και    να  προσπαθούν  να  τα  πείσουν να  αρνηθούν  τον  Χριστό.   Εκείνα    όμως  ομολογούσαν  με  αθῳότητα   και    ανδρεία   την πίστη  τους   στον   Κύριο.           
Έτσι   αποφάσισαν  να   τα   φονεύσουν    προς   παραδειγματισμό   και  των   υπολοίπων   συγχωριανών   τους.  Με  επικεφαλής   τον   ηγεμόνα πήγαν   κοντά  στον  ποταμό  και  έσκαψαν ένα  βαθύ  λάκκο, όπου  έριξαν   μέσα  τους   μικρούς   Αγίους.  Ήσαν  όλοι  από  επτά  μέχρι  εννέα  χρόνων.

The martyrdom of the nine child martyrs took place in the 6th century AD. in Georgia.

In a large village in southwestern Georgia, in the Kola Plain, where the springs of the river Cyrus lie, few Christians lived. Most residents were still pagans. The children of Christians were playing with the children of idolaters, and as soon as the priest rang the bell for the Vespers, they left the game and ran to the Church. However, nine of the idolatrous children were always followed: Warram, Bakar, Wachse, Batsimi, Thaci, Jawanseri, Ramazan and Parsman. But as they reached the temple gate, the Christians were not allowed to enter the temple. This has been done several times. The children persisted and decided to be baptized Christians.

The priest of the village, a venerable and holy white man, condemned them and taught them evangelical commandments. But he did not dare to baptize them by day because he was afraid of pagans. So one night, he took them with him and drove them to the river. Many Christians followed him. At that time the river was frozen. But as soon as the children came in to be baptized, the water, by the power of God, became hot. This wonderful miracle was followed by another miraculous event: Angels from heaven descended and clothed the children in white robes.

The next day the pagan parents searched for their children. They found them in the Christian homes and were informed of what had happened. They became furious and became angry. They started beating them and trying to persuade them to refuse Christ. But they faithfully and courageously confessed their faith in the Lord.

So they decided to kill them for the sake of their fellow villagers. At the head of the ruler they went near the river and dug a deep pit, where they threw the little Saints into it. They were all from seven to nine years old.
