Τα Εισόδια της Θεοτόκου

Η ευσεβής Άννα σύζυγος του Ιωακείμ, πέρασε την ζωή της χωρίς να μπορέσει να τεκνοποιήσει, καθώς ήταν στείρα. Μαζί με τον Ιωακείμ προσευχόταν  θερμά  στον  Θεό  να  την  αξιώσει  να  φέρει  στον  κόσμο ένα  παιδί,  με  την  υπόσχεση  ότι  θα  αφιέρωνε  το  τέκνο  της  σε  Αυτόν.

Πράγματι, ο  Πανάγαθος  Θεός  όχι  μόνο  της  χάρισε  ένα  παιδί,  αλλά την αξίωσε να φέρει στον κόσμο την γυναίκα που θα γεννούσε τον Μεσσία,  τον  Σωτήρα  μας  Ιησού  Χριστό.

Όταν  η  Παναγία έγινε τριών χρόνων, σύμφωνα με την παράδοση, η Άννα και ο Ιωακείμ, κρατώντας την υπόσχεσή  τους,  την  οδήγησαν  στο Ναό  και  την  παρέδωσαν  στον αρχιερέα Ζαχαρία. Ο αρχιερέας παρέλαβε την Παρθένο Μαρία και την οδήγησε στα  Άγια  των  Αγίων, όπου  δεν  έμπαινε  κανείς  εκτός  από  τον  ίδιο,  επειδή  γνώριζε  έπειτα από αποκάλυψη του Θεού  το μελλοντικό ρόλο της Αγίας κόρης στην ενανθρώπιση του Κυρίου.        
Στα ενδότερα του Ναού η Παρθένος Μαρία έμεινε δώδεκα χρόνια.   Όλο αυτό το διάστημα ο αρχάγγελος Γαβριήλ προμήθευε την Παναγία με τροφή   ουράνια.  Εξήλθε  από  τα  Άγια  των  Αγίων,  όταν  έφθασε  η  ώρα  του  Θείου  Ευαγγελισμού.

Απολυτίκιον.  Ήχος   δ’. 
Σήμερον της ευδοκίας Θεού το προοίμιον, και της των ανθρώπων σωτηρίας  η  προκήρυξις·  εν Ναώ του Θεού, τρανώς η Παρθένος δείκνυται, και  τον  Χριστόν  τοις  πάσι  προκαταγγέλεται.  Αυτή  και ημείς, μεγαλοφώνως βοήσωμεν· χαίρε της οικονομίας, του Κτίστου η εκπλήρωσης.

Κοντάκιον.  Ήχος  δ’.  Ο  υψωθείς  εν  τω  Σταυρώ.          
Ο  καθαρώτατος  ναός  του Σωτήρος, η πολυτίμητος παστάς και Παρθένος, το ιερόν θησαύρισμα  της  δόξης  του  Θεού, σήμερον εισάγεται, εν τω οίκω Κυρίου, την χάριν συνεισάγουσα, την εν Πνευματι θείω·  ήν  ανυμνούσιν   Άγγελοι   Θεού.  Αύτη  υπάρχει   σκηνή επουράνιος.

Μεγαλυνάριον.
Ένδον  των  αδύτων,  εν  τω  Ναώ,  η  τω  Θεώ Λόγω,  εκλεχθείσα  προ γενεών, αφιερωθείσα, την οίκησιν ποιείται, η Πάναγνος Παρθένος, ήν μεγαλύνομεν.

The Presentation of the Virgin Mary

Pious Anna's wife, Joachim, spent her life without being able to childbear because she was sterile. Together with Joachim, he prayed to God to ask her to bring to the world a child, promising to dedicate her child to Him.
