Ο Όσιος Παίσιος Βελιτσκόφσκυ (Ρώσος)

Επιγραμματικά  και  με χρονολογική σειρά αναφέρουμε τα σημαντικότερα  γεγονότα  της   ζωής  του:

Γεννήθηκε  στις  21  Δεκεμβρίου  του  1722.

Το  1734  εισάγεται  στη  Θεολογική  Σχολή  του   Κιέβου.

Το  1738  μπαίνει στα μοναστήρια Λιούμπετζ και Μετθεντόφσκυ  κοντά στο   Κίεβο.

Το  1741  γίνεται  ρασοφόρος  μοναχός,  μετονομασθείς  Πλάτων.

Το 1743  μετακομίζει  στις σκήτες της Βλαχίας, όπου ζει  με  τον  γέροντα Βασίλειο.

Το  1746  πηγαίνει  στο  Άγιον  Όρος.

Το 1750 κείρεται μοναχός απ’ τον γέροντα Βασίλειο, μετονομασθείς Παίσιος.

Το  1754  ξεκινά  την  κοινοβιακή  ζωή   με  τον   Βησσαρίωνα.

Το   1758  χειροτονείται  ιερέας  και  ιδρύει  την  σκήτη του  Προφήτου Ηλία.

Το  1763  μετακινείται  στη  Δραγομίρνα.

Το  1775  στη  μονή  Σεκούλ.

Το  1779  στη  μονή  Νιαμέτς.      
Το  1790  γίνεται  αρχιμανδρίτης  και  πεθαίνει  στις 15 Νοεμβρίου του 1794.

In brief and in chronological order we mention the most important events of his life:

He was born on December 21, 1722.

In 1734 he entered the Theological School of Kiev.

In 1738 he entered the monasteries of Ljubljana and Metoddansky near Kiev.

In 1741 he became a rasophone monk, renamed Plato.

In 1743 he moved to the skirts of Wallachia, where he lives with the elder Kingdom.

In 1746 he goes to Mount Athos.

In 1750, he is a monk from the elder Kingdom, renamed Pasios.

In 1754 he began the communal life with Bessarion.

In 1758 he was ordained a priest and founded the cloister of Prophet Elijah.

In 1763 he moved to Dragomirna.

In 1775 in the Sekul monastery.

In 1779 in the monastery of Niatme.

In 1790 he became archimandrite and dies on 15 November 1794.
