Ανακομιδή Τιμίων Λειψάνων Αγίου Γεωργίου του Μεγαλομάρτυρα και Τροπαιοφόρου και εγκαίνια Ναού του στην Λύδδα της Ιόππης

Μετά  την  κατάπαυση των διωγμών και την επικράτηση του χριστιανισμού   σ’ όλο   το   Ρωμαϊκό   κράτος, επί Μεγάλου Κωνσταντίνου,   οι   χριστιανοί   ανήγειραν  μεγαλοπρεπή    Ναό   στην Λύδδα της  Ιόππης,  όπου μετακόμισαν το ιερό λείψανο του Μεγαλομάρτυρα    Γεωργίου,   για   να   το   προσκυνούν  πλέον  άφοβα.       
Έγιναν   δε   μετά   την    κατάθεση    του   ιερού  λειψάνου  και  τα  εγκαίνια   του  Ναού στις 3 Νοεμβρίου και από τότε κάθε χρόνο η Εκκλησία μας, τελεί κατά την ημέρα αυτή την ανακομιδή των ιερών λειψάνων   του   Μεγαλομάρτυρα,  προς   δόξαν     Θεού.

Ως  ήλιος έμψυχος, τη ση  αθλήσει φανείς, θεσμώ  έδυς  φύσεως,  αλλ’ ανατέλλεις   εκ   γης,  δια  των  λειψάνων   σου,  όλος  λελαμπρυσμένος,  τη του  Πνεύματος αίγλῃ, εκλάμπων τη οικουμένη, ιαμάτων ακτίνας, Γεώργιε  μεγάλαθλε,  πιστὠνη  αντίληψις.

Τη    υπερμάχω  και  ταχεία  αντιλήψει  σου

Προσπεφευγότες   οι   πιστοί    καθικετεύομεν

Λυτρωθήναι   παρά   του   Χριστού  Αθλοφόρε,

Των   σκανδάλων  του  εχθρού  τους   ανυμνούντάς   σε

Και  παντοίων  εκ  κινδύνων  και  κακώσεων,
Ίνα   κράζωμεν,  χαίροις  Μάρτυς  Γεώργιε.

Πλήρες  ευωδίας  αγιασμού,  δίκην  μυροθήκης, εκ  λαγόνων  ώφθη  της γης, το  σεπτόν σου σκήνος, Γεώργιε παμμάκαρ, αρωματίζον  κόσμω, θαυμάτων   χάριτας.

Removal of the Holy Relics of Saint George the Great Martyr and the Trophy bearer and the inauguration of his Temple in Lydda, Joppa

Following the end of persecution and the prevalence of Christianity throughout the Roman state, during the reign of Constantine the Great, the Christians erected a magnificent Temple in Lydda, Joppa, where they relocated the sacred relic of Megalomyros to Megalomyras.

They were made after the deposition of the sacred relic and the inauguration of the Temple on November 3, and since then every year our Church, on this day, has completed the remembrance of the sacred relics of the Great Martyr to God.
