Οι Αγίες Αλεξανδρία, Ευφημία, Ευφρασία, Ιουλιανή, Θεοδοσία, Κλαυδία και Ματρώνη οι Μάρτυρες εν Αμινσώ

Οι Αγίες επτά Μάρτυρες άθλησαν  κατά τους χρόνους του ασεβούς αυτοκράτορα Μαξιμιανού (286 – 305 μ.Χ.) στην πόλη Αμινσό, όταν ξεσηκώθηκε  μεγάλος  διωγμός κατά  των  ανθρώπων  που  ομολόγησαν  τον   Χριστό.

Οι Αγίες συνελήφθησαν από τον άρχοντα της Αμινσού, που ήταν ειδωλολάτρης.   Και  όταν   στάθηκαν   ενώπιόν   του,   ομολόγησαν   ότι  είναι   Χριστιανές    και τον  έλεγξαν  με  παρρησία,  αφού τον  αποκάλεσαν  σκληρό   και    άδικο    και   εχθρό  της  αλήθειας.  Ο  άρχοντας  εξοργίσθηκε. Τότε έδωσε εντολή  και  τις  τοποθέτησαν  σε  δημόσιο   μέρος  για   θέαμα,   όπου    άρχισαν    να   τις    χτυπούν    με  ραβδιά.    Στην   συνέχεια  έκοψαν  τους  μαστούς  αυτών  με  ξίφη   και, αφού   τις   κρέμασαν, τις  έγδαραν  τόσο  πολύ,  ώστε  φάνηκαν  τα  έντερά   τους.  Τέλος, τις   έριξαν σε   μεγάλο   καμίνι   φωτιάς    και,   ενώ έψαλλαν   και  προσεύχονταν στον Θεό, παρέδωσαν   τις   ψυχές   τους.
Το    μαρτύριό   τους    έγινε    μεταξύ    των    ετών   303 – 305   μ.Χ.

The seven Holy Martyrs were at the time of the wicked Emperor Maximianus (286-305 AD) in the city of Aminsus, when there was great persecution against the people who confessed to Christ.

The Saints were arrested by the ruler of Aminsus, who was idolatrous. And when they stood before him, they confessed to being Christians and boldly controlled him, calling him hard and unfair and enemy of the truth. The lord was outraged. Then he gave orders and put them in a public place for a spectacle, where they began to strike them with sticks. Then they cut their breasts with swords and, as they hung them, they were so weaked that their guts were visible. Finally, they threw them into a large fireplace furnace and, while they chanted and prayed to God, they delivered their souls.

Their martyrdom was made between 303-305 AD.
