Ο Όσιος Γερόντιος ο Κανονάρχης

Ο  Όσιος  Γερόντιος  έζησε  κατά  τον  14^ο  αιώνα  μ.Χ.  και  ασκήτεψε  στη  Λαύρα των  Σπηλαίων  του  Κιέβου,  όπου  του   είχε  ανατεθεί  το  διακόνημα  του Κανονάρχου.  Διακρίθηκε  για  τον  ασκητικό  του  βίο  και  την  υπακοή  του.
Ο  Όσιος  Γερόντιος  κοιμήθηκε  με  ειρήνη  και  ενταφιάσθηκε  στη  Λαύρα  του Κιέβου.

Saint Gerontius the Canonarch

Saint Gerontius lived in the 14th century AD. and ascended to the Lavra of the Caves of Kiev, where he was commissioned by the canon of Canonarchos. He was distinguished for his ascetic life and obedience.

Saint Gerontius slept in peace and was buried in the Lavra of Kiev.
